Special Care Services, Inc. is an independent social and human services agency with no affiliation to any hospital or healthcare organization. For this reason, we are able to provide unbiased recommendations which are in and for your best interest.

Special Care Services, Inc.'s team of Aging Life Care Professionals, Gerontologists, Care Managers, Social Workers and Assistant Care Managers are highly trained, skilled professionals dedicated to promoting an optimal quality of life for older adults. Our Care Mangers will meet with the older adult and their family/caregivers to develop and monitor a plan of care which will maximize independence, well-being and dignity of the client. Our goal is to ensure your loved one receives the most appropriate services in the most cost efficient manner, while honoring the individual's autonomy and self-determination.

When living at home is no longer an option, Special Care Services, Inc. is available to assist with finding alternative living options and will facilitate all aspects of the move.

Special Care Services, Inc. offers a client-centered approach that guides families through the maze of service providers and through difficult decisions. Our Aging Life Care Professionals, Gerontologists, Care Managers, Social Workers and Associate Care Managers will support you in many ways including providing the following:

 What is an Aging Life Care Professional?

An Aging Life Care Professional is a health and human services specialist who is a guide, advocate, and resource for families caring for older relatives.

The Aging Life Care Professional may be trained in any of a number of fields related to long-term care. These include nursing, gerontology, social work, psychology, and other allied health professions, with a specialized focus on issues related to aging and elder care.

The Aging Life Care Professional assists older adults and persons with disabilities reach their maximum functional potential. The individual's independence is encouraged, while safety and security concerns are also addressed.

Aging Life Care Professionals have extensive knowledge about the costs, quality, and availability of resources in their communities.

  • Conduct care planning assessments to identify problems and to provide solutions.
  • Screen, arrange, and monitor in-home help or other services.
